Damien Faivre

Dr. Damien Faivre has authored many seminal publications, several in high-ranking journals. He has also been invited to author reviews in renowned journals from different fields, such as Chemical Reviews, Earth-Science Reviews, Physics Report, or Reviews in Modern Physics. Furthermore, he edited a comprehensive multi-author monograph on iron oxides.

During his career, D. Faivre has enjoyed mentoring numerous master students, doctorates, and postdocs. This includes his time first as an (ERC) group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam (Germany), then as research director at the Biosciences and Biotechnologies Institute of Aix-Marseille (France), before joining the University of Latvia as ERA Chair. His lab has evolved as an interdisciplinary and international group of excellent researchers, continuously attracting students and postdocs from all over the world.
